Ground
Source Heat Pumps - Save up to 30% off annual fuel bills and up to
50% off CO2 emissions
|
Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP) take the natural heat from
the ground and can potentially use it to meet all of your
home heating needs. For every unit of electricity that is
used to pump the heat, 3-4 units of heat are produced.
Loops of pipe
are buried in the ground (which remains at around 50 degrees
all year round) and transfer heat from the ground to your
home and this natural warmth can be concentrated and used to
heat your home and, in some cases, your hot water as well.
A typical
system is able to produce all the heat required for a well
insulated home, saving you between £400 and £800 a year on
your heating bill as well as cutting your CO2 emissions by as
much as 8 tonnes a year. |
